PERSONNEL

Our Members

Good Intent Fire Co. has about 20 active members that man three engines: a 1977 Mack pumper, 2004 International/ KME pumper, and a 1976 Dodge mini pumper.  We are lead by fire chief Al Gilbert and asst. fire chief Jed Bartashus.

Mutual Aid

Just like many fire departments in PA, we depend on mutual aid from surrounding departments such as Blythe Twp., Port Carbon, and Pottsville to provide extra help, especially during the day when many members are at work. Other departments are often needed for specialty skills or eqipment such as ladder, rescue, and tanker companies. We also provide automatic mutual aid to Blythe Twp. and Middleport borough and respond as needed to other surrounding municipalities.

Training

Our members are trained in various asspects of the fire service includeing BLS, rescue, engine company operation, truck company operations and many more.
